Zillow ‘finds its way home’ to Scottsdale’s leading tech hub
Stockdale Capital Partners announces lease at Galleria for more than 19,000 SF
SCOTTSDALE, AZ (August 2, 2018) – Stockdale Capital Partners, owner and operator of the Galleria, Arizona’s leading creative office in Downtown Scottsdale, has executed a lease with real estate marketplace Zillow for 19,550 square feet. This is the Seattle-based company’s first office in the Phoenix metro area.
Zillow is the eighth major tech tenant to lease space in the Galleria, a former retail mall, that under Stockdale Capital’s guidance, was converted to creative office and has fast become Scottsdale’s leading tech hub attracting more than half a dozen major companies in the last 12 months. Other major tenants include Yelp, Square, Indeed, Clearlink, and Spaces.
Last year, Stockdale completed a major renovation of the Galleria’s lobby and common areas, designed and curated to appeal to technology tenants desiring creative office space.
The Galleria is situated within the Downtown Entertainment District, a vibrant and compact walkable neighborhood encompassing several blocks of Old Town Scottsdale and populated by upscale hotels, restaurants, cafes and bars as well as retail stores.
With limited vacancy at the Galleria, Stockdale is now in the advanced stages of development for Marquee at the District, a proposed 286,000 square foot creative office building to be constructed on 2.1 acres adjacent to the Galleria.
Bryan Taute and Charlie Von Arentschildt of CBRE represented Stockdale Capital Partners in the lease transaction. Mike Gordon of Cresa represented Zillow.
